And while we're at it let's give them the NC title for 2004 since USC is going to lose it on violations, they're 1st title since 1957!

Some reason i feel like Auburn will fizzle out when they run into teams with great pitching in the NCAA Tourney.
Yeah, because we did not just beat 2 of the best starters in the SEC this weekend.

yeah we've smashed good pitchers this season. I can only think of a handful that have been effective against us.
Smyly for Arkansas, whoever Vanderbilt's Sunday starter is, and Arizona State's Saturday/Sunday guys. Sam Dyson for USCe shut us out, but you have to remember we left the bases loaded three times.
And Dyson and the Arizona State guys didn't have to face us when we had Mummey in the lineup. He was the one that changed this offense from incredibly good to absolutely elite.

It's not the hitting coach. It's the head coach. Last year we set pretty much every hitting record in school history, fired the hitting coach, and have broken everyone of those records again this year.

So? SC left the bases loaded twice vs UF in Game 1, does that mean we've split the series so far and playing for the title today?
please can it mean that?

NOt a flame but what is Auburn's claim to a NC in 83. I looked up the AP rankings and yall were 3rd behind 1 Miami and 2 Nebraska all of which had 1 loss with Nebraska poting a 12-1(not sure how) and Miami 11-1.

NY Times named us champs. Auburn does not claim it though. BTW, why in the world did you put this in this thread

Well kudos to that man. I've been attending every SEC series in Oxford since 2006 and I have never seen a team with bats like Auburn. They have hit the ball to all fields and none of them have been cheap - every jack was a piss-missile or towering shot.
Congrats on the Western Division crown Aubies - yall have taken care of business down the stretch and most def deserve it.
Now cool the frick off before Hoover so the rest of us can have some fun

in the polls before the bowls, nebraska was #1, texas #2, both lost their bowl games, auburn was #3 and won ours. ap screwed us by launching #5 miami to #1 and only moving #1 nebraska to #2. we got fricked....like always

OK. Au's hitting has been exceptional this year! How deep is the pitching? IMO tournamnet time is about pitching depth. Congrats on the great reg. season

our stadium is basically the same distance as every other field, minus center, which is 385. plus, it hasnt stopped us from hitting HR's everywhere we go this year, so STFU.

Having that team batting avg is impressive no matter if they are playing at the polo grounds or williamsport. Auburn is an exceptional hitting team, the only question is if they can continue to crush in the tourney because like someone said, the pitching goes to a new level in the field of 64. But Hell, I'd like to think we got good pitching and look at what those bats did to us.
