You guys make fun of us about this but it’s the main reason that fans of LSU are a little different than everyone else.
LSU represents the best and brightest we have. We don’t have multiple large universities like most other states. There’s just one and we hold it in super high regard
It’s okay to make fun of us. Hell at my age it’s nothing new, but I can tell you it’s one of the reasons that we come together like few other states.
Between the weather trying to wash us away, corrupt politicians and a lack of social services, we circle the wagons pretty good.
We also can get more than a little defensive about LSU.

Check where the State of Louisiana ranks in poverty and obesity rates, and where they rank in education and infrastructure (there are several dozen more of relevant rankings that demonstrate how pathetic Louisiana is as a State but those 4 tell the tale imo)

I appreciate your outlook. However, as a resident of Louisiana (I assume you are?), does it not bother you that your people are suffering from fatness, diabetes, starvation, illiteracy rates are skyrocketing, and the roads trying to get out Tiger Stadium apparently sums up the State’s entire infrastructure, but yet the Governor is on board with scraping every nickel together by WHATEVER means necessary (sick children also have to pay their pound of flesh), just to compete in college football?

Absolutely it does but I’m unsure what that has to do with LSU.
The breakdown of the family unit has destroyed our people. Multiple generations raised without a father figure. No desire to get an education or better themselves.
I hope the new place Musk is building will eventually bring more jobs to the state.

LSU running money through Children’s Hospitals, as well as multiple other incriminating actions that involve tax payer dollars being used directly to pay for LSU NIL fund to “buy the best players money can buy”. Hope it’s worth it…..

You are the type of individual that does not deserve any of this. It’s not fair to you to have to be embarrassed by the team you root for, that is simultaneously hurting their own people/State.
I know LSU cannot (I guess they do to a degree unfortunately) dictate what the Governor chooses to do (or not to do) for that State, buts it’s absolutely pathetic what they are doing to their “fans” and the people of Louisiana.
No one can convince me that the poorest State in the Union has any business spending the kind of $$$ they are on a college football team. Especially when you factor in where the money is actually coming from.
