I don't necessarily think it's Mrs Sumlin but the letter is weird regardless. If you're crazy enough to write a letter like that in the first place and mean it, I would expect more to it. The correct usage of 'you're' makes me skeptical of it being a redneck racist too but that's just my prejudice thinking racists wouldn't be smart enough for that or even controlled enough for the handwriting.

It looks sketchy but I won't say it is fake. I sure as hell won't assume it's real either after seeing countless false flags.
In high profile cases like this it needs to be a damn priority to get to the bottom of it.
People that would do this need to know they'll be discovered, and people who would fake it need to know they'll face the exact same consequences. Both are ridiculous and just as likely, and they drag us all down with them

I'd bet money that every failing coach gets letters like this, and every failing black coach (Charlie Strong) has the N-word thrown at him.
But neither those coaches nor their wives would fricking tweet about it.

The address is from Houston Country Club why? If you are a member would you give this clue to its origin if you are sending this to sumlin? Not likely.
Are board of regents or big boosters from Houston members of the club? Yes possibly, so it would be not beneficial to have the address on the envelope if real, but very much so if a fake.
Seems contrived to me, but will probably never know.

Whether they fabricated it or not, this was done deliberately to frame anyone with legitimate criticisms of Kevin Sumlin's futile coaching ability as racist. This actually makes me respect Charlie Strong a lot more. At least he and his wife didn't go out of their way to make their employer look bad even after they were unceremoniously dumped.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but judging by all the smearing of the ink in the letter the person that wrote it appears to be left handed as they would have dragged their hand across the newly written ink. The person taking the picture of the letter also appears to be left handed as the left hand appears to be darker therefor it's the one holding the camera taking the picture. I'm not saying it's fake just pointing something out that I noticed.
