Not necessarily. Last year Ohio St. gave up over 20 PPG (22.1) but they scored 45 PPG. I know it hasn't caught on in Baton Rouge but for the rest of the country games with scores over 30 points is natural.

A&M fans always act like Chavis invented defense at LSU... no Bo Pelini led us to the 3rd ranked national defense 3 years in a row

Again, it was the right move because, now that Kyle Allen has his feet wet, we can be the HUNH and force HUNH in response. The theory is that Chavis can shut down the response.

You're assuming you jump out to early 2 score leads. Otherwise, why would teams automatically go to the hurry?

Also, Chavis doesn't specialize in stopping the HUNH, he specializes in stopping spread teams that try to attack the boundary.

Something only OM and aTm do in the SEC West.

And LSU fans always act like Steele wasn't fired twice from the defensive coordinator position.

Plus one after they lose to Arkie in Dallas, Bama and @LSU.. We could see a melt like we've never seen before.

and yet over the last 2 years you only average 8 more pts per game over LSU's O. One score per game better. We're not talking about a huge difference here.

So, 22 PPG now equals 27? You can't be serious with that...

The difference between 22 PPG and 27 PPG (last 5 years):

2014:
26th --> 66th

2013:
21st --> 69th

2012:
27th --> 56th

2011:
31st --> 64th

2010:
35th --> 65th

Because the talent on the LSU defense is the same as those other schools

Well then you will be let down.

You LSU fans are simply bad people watchers. ASU can smoke Chavis and as long as we win its fine. Heck even if we lose it was to a top 20 program so no big embarrassment.

Let me give you a clue: The "Fire Sumlin" thread in 2014 didn't come when you think it did. It didn't come after 59-0, it didn't come after LSU beat us. It came when we didn't get a recruit late December.

To get your hopes up that any game this year will trigger the thread is folly. We were closer to doing it when Little decommitted.

Didn't LSU put up like 200 yards of total offense on Clemson the last time they met?

Because (theoretically speaking) with a top 10 offense that forces opponents to play the same style of offense,

How has that worked against LSU?

Rushing Yards against aTm

2012 - 219
2013 - 324
2014 - 384
