He has a good thing going. Why leave that for Nebraska. Just needs to win 8 or 9 games a year and he is set

The last time anyone outside of Nebraska considered them bluebloods the Houston Oilers still existed.

I don't imagine most people think he would leave for a job like Nebraska. Just no upside for him. He has built Kentucky into a solid program, so no need to prove that.

Expectations don't match current reality for Nebraska, so fans wouldn't be patient enough. While they were definitely a force under Osborne, it's hard to see them getting back.

Yes
They think they're special because they hold political party primaries before other states

They think Iowa city is a city when it has less than 100,000 people

What kinda a name is hawk eye? Not hawk, Hawkeye

They are often overrated and wind up only winning like 8 games

I could go on. I'm triggered. Apologize

SEC East right now is also a great place to live if you are coach looking to win the division.

I disagree, they used to be though. Not many outside of Nebraska consider them to be one now.

Exactly. Just because you were a blueblood, doesn't mean you stay there forever.

Even bluebloods have to be fed W's or they shrivel up and die.

You can say they arent a blue blood all you want, it simply isnt true.

The yahoo article puts it best, maybe they are just old money, but they are still a blueblood.

I don’t care about those articles, my opinion is they aren’t a blueblood. They used to be but they aren’t now. It’s ok to have differing opinions.

It's an opinion, just like those in your links are just someone's opinion. Your Yahoo "article" even debates terminology and criteria.

You do realize that they don't actually have blue blood, right?

Your opinion is wrong.

That’s exactly where I’m at. You can add names to the list and take names off the list if they don’t perform. Nebraska is currently off the list IMO but if they were to start winning big again(championships) they’d be added back.

Right, but all of them still list them as a Blueblood. I know it's hard for you to understand.

nebraska not being a blueblood is an absolute awful take on college football.

I'm not going to quibble about the definition of a blueblood, but Nebraska hasn't been relevant on a national level for decades.

They're not some sleeping giant just waiting for the right coach.

I have no idea why Stoops would leave Kentucky for Nebraska. He's built Kentucky into a really solid program. Given the current states of these two programs, this isn't even a lateral move.

Kentucky isn't eating at the same football table as Nebraska. What has Stoops done to push the wildcats to some type of national prominence? They've never won their East division or been to Atlanta. SC and Mizzou have. It's really hard to win the SEC if those 2 things have never happened. Nebraska ain't what she used to be but she has history, and lots of it, on her side.

I don't understand coaches that go from a decent mid-tier job making millions with pretty low risk job security to a bigger program high risk job security for only a few million more.

Look at Dan Mullen. He could have had a statue built for him in Starkville but he chased the name and the money and he is out of a job now. He won't get another decent gig for a while. In the long run, he would have made more money and had more fame at MSU.
