I'd take Mendoza. 6'5" with 70%+ completion percentage playing against superior talent (compared to his team). it may not work out, but if it does you're set for a long time.

Feels a little 2008-ish. That team was outgunned but they gave it their all and put up a good fight. Hope to see the same tomorrow, but with a better result.
Need a fast start. points off a turnover maybe. Then play like we have nothing to lose. Take deep shots, see if we can open them up. Then a heavy dose of HB.

On defense, can't let Ty feel comfortable. Blitz from all over, play alot of man. Take chances.

If we play it straight up we are going to lose. Let the guys take all their frustration out Sat night!

I would rather take the best player in the draft than reach for a mediocre QB. Take Bain, he seems like a surefire thing.

Yes he was wrong because he is adding to the circus. He doesn't represent the state or the school well. If you're a high profile coach in a no nonsense situation, you're looking at this and thinking "I want no part of that shitshow".

And his comments around "metrics based compensation" are stupid. LSU is not in a position of leverage in negotiating with its next coach. If you want an elite coach, you're going to have to pay them more than CBK. It just that simple.

I think they'll pat him too, especially if they make their first SEC champ game ever. Going to Atl will feel like the Superbowl to them.

And I'm fine with that. I think his antics are masked by the run they're on right now. But his schtick gets old.

if there is a guy, it might be Kliff Kingsbury. I don't think he's a good coach, but i can see someone getting sold on him.

re: Trade the #1 Overall Pick…

More likely we trade Banks for their first.
A pass first offense is the only constant across all his years here.

We've never been able to run (unless JD5 made plays on his own), the defense has only been good this year. ST was awful, now average.
No because we can still lose to Bama and OU and go 8-4. If we lose to A&M, we are looking at 7-5 and that will be a disaster. Worst case is 6-6 if the team quits on him.

BK openly talked about how this is his best team. He set the table himself with the "see you in the national championship" comments, but the fanbase is still giving him grace expecting 10-2. He's going to fall short of that expectation.

And why is he going to fall short yet again? Not because of personnel, but because of the denominator in all his years here. He doesn't know how to scheme to protect his team's weaknesses.
In this day in age, if he does like MVB it would be stupid to show it. All you're doing is raising the NIL price.
Just to recap here...

- Sloan gave you a geaux tigers and recognized you're a fan
- You then asked him multiple questions about the program, which he was nice enough to answer
- You came to TD to post that you met him. Humblebrag.
- In those posts, you question his skill, and then doubled down by calling him a "son of a bitch", presumably because you don't like how he runs the offense.
- And you're not a democrat. Because you think democrats have low moral character. Right.

I think this is more Texas being exposed. They may lose four more games - OU, A&M, UGA and one of Vandy, Ark, State
I imagine you went up to him to say hello and he was gracious enough to give you his time. Then you decided to post the story here and talk shite about him.

Now if you gathered anything interesting from the conversation and shared it, that would make sense.

It's football.

But it wasn't football, it was warmups.

Also, I can understand if he got a broken nose because there's a rowdy/overzealous guy going too hard. But how do you get concussed?

What direction you sending him?

HAHAHA, the endzone baby!!

You've seen him play 1.5 quarters of football and everyone is already convinced he's a bum

I wasn't talking about a single player. We have a QB room that has combined NFL wins of zero. You hear they made some good passes in practice and say "they're playing good ball". Good relative to what?

Re: Shough, I don't have high expectations. How many second round picks have started in year 1 and lead their teams to the playoffs? It's three. He had flashes of talent in the preseason game (and I'm routing for him), but I wouldn't say he's playing good ball.
