Considering Steele is AU's third DC in 2 years, well 3 years, the odds that he's there for 6 years to get vested aren't that great.
Maybe he can get a gig at a lower division or pull a Dubose and coach High School. I'm sure Gus could tutor him on how that works.

Steele has 4 years of service In the Alabama system, he's 57 yrs old....he's got 6 more years of service to qualify for retirement.....Auburn is now on their 5th DC in 8 yrs so it is unlikely Steele will last more than 2 yrs.
Furthermore, why would Auburn buy years of service for a coordinator? They didn't offer to do it for Muschamp....
