Some truth to this, actually. If you want a shot at a NC, you have a much better chance at Clemson.

State simply cannot get good college QB's. It was incredible how bad the blew it with 2 LA kids, etc in the 2010 class, settling on 5'10" D-III caliber D Favre, who is now at a JuCo. Now this kid, who is not big-time and could see he would not play there as soon as he saw the other guys, none of whom a big-time. They can never get their guy...always have to settle.

Dylan Favre scored twice on Bama, so that's twice as many times as LSU did...

Favre- he got two stars simply because of his name. They tried, in his second year, to let him run the wildcat a little, but not for on field reasons and you are right, he ran some. But, he is a D-III talent with a chance to go D-II, maybe in the Gulf South Conference, in 2013. I have stood behind him at camps in the summer of 2009, and there were many kids more impressive who are playing at small schools or not at all. he is a good kid, very personable, etc, just not a D-I guy. He may play some at the JuCo, the place was hand picked for him after a lot of lobbying.

Incorrect. That was a rumor people like you and the Peepa Heppa were spreading to the parents of our recruiting interests

MS State lost to Bama 24-7, but Favre had about 40 yds rushing and 120 passing as the number 3 QB on the season.

Nothing to see here, IMO

We narrowly missed on a TON of guys in Mullen's first few classes...not just at the qb position. We're slowly gaining "more to sell", our staff's recruiting is getting better, and this trend is improving.

This walk-on was likely to beat out Shuessler anyway Jamil Golden

Incorrect. Favre scored against Arkansas and Tennessee-Martin.

What kids are you talking about ????

Mullen got a solid QB from Louisiana in Dak Prescott. He will be a RS FR this year.

So ready for this season. If the OL has improved it's gonna be nice. Tyler has proven when he has time he can make a play

Real quick....any MSU fans know the money and how long your contract with Adidas is for?

Arguing with an Ole Miss buddy who just likes to bitch about everything the Athletic dept. does. He is still bitching about us not having an open-bid process when we re-signed with Nike.

I've googled for a solid hour and haven't found a damned thing. Took me all of 10 minutes to find ours.

The deal we signed is 13.9 million over 7 years. Which is double the amount of money per year of our last contract and that was for 5 years. Our CL beat-writer back in February said it's significantly better than the MSU-adidas deal. That was pointed out because of it being rival schools and rival brands.

I'm using MSU as an example because it's the most similar athletic department to ours as far as national branding, size, area, conference, etc. but having something other than Nike.
