Credit where credit is due, Russell looked good for yall saturday.

Not just stat-wise either. Looked comfortable in the pocket and played with poise. Threw some nice balls while on the move too. Even after he took some shots from Lemonier he stood in there and delivered.

If yall can improve your pass protection and keep him confident and healthy I see him having a big year.

It wasn't always this way. Losing can work wonders.

Just being objective. No more no less. Russell looked solid. Like I said, trick is gonna be keeping him upright.

Lemonier got some good hits on him... will have to be better than that at LT, but that said, Lemonier is going to get his shots on every qb he sees.

Got awhile to improve before we are challenged by that kind of end talent again. That said, Russell needs to improve his pocket awareness and still holds it too long on occasion. Was very happy with our overall OL play yesterday considering, especially in the second half.

I saw the same thing. Russell can move well enough too. Saturdays state team was the most complete team I've seen them have since 99

FWIW, Scott and Wallace are a hell of a duo. If y'alls defense can step it up, I can see y'all maybe beating Tejas.

ETA: even though I am pulling for them (sorry, still a rivalry ).

He did great, don't get me wrong, but he's so cool in the pocket

I think he may just get his head knocked entirely off.

He really needs some wolf ears and magic googly eyes in the back of his head.

I think y'all get to 5-6 wins this year if you can upset UT this weekend or take down AU or Arky.

No bro. You're wrong. 2012 Auburn is the worst SEC football team to ever play. State's d or offense doesn't deserve any credit for what happened on Saturday.

Actually, it may be one of those intangibles, the pocket awareness, like seeing receivers down field, you can only coach it so much. It's almost like either you have it or you don't. He may not, and if so, you'll be looking at African American Tebow there real soon - after they stop the game to find Tyler's head.

Let's be honest here... State is a solid team but AU's play Saturday wasn't what anyone expected. At least not what I expected. They looked lost on both sides of the ball. They've got talent, but there was a lot of confusion on their side. Granted, a lot of that was due to state hitting them in the teeth all day, but AU played shitty football Saturday.
