This truly breaks my heart. As the parent of two kids, I can't even begin to imagine what his mother and father (and the rest of his family as well) are enduring right now. It just isn't fair.

This was my first thought when I saw this. I have two children and I can't imagine watching either of them go through something like this. I'll be thinking about Nick and his family...keep fighting.

This really makes me sick and what makes it worse it that Nick is known as a really good kid that never gave anybody any problems. He is a humble kid that is a kind person and from a good family. It just doesn't seem right that things like this happen to good guys. All we can do now is hope and pray. The one thing I'm postitve of is that Nick is a fighter.

Praying for Nick today. My son had cancer as a baby. I hate it. He's come through it, but it was a tough battle. Hate to see this, but God is good and answers prayers.

I don't think we should be saying he has passed yet. I've heard close teammates are saying he is on life support.
