Here’s an interesting development. Stewart Reese has started at OG and OT for MSU the last 3 seasons. He was originally recruited by Mullen\Hevesy at MSU and his little brother is at Florida. Still, this is the first time I can recall an active starter at an SEC school graduating and transferring to another SEC school without being forced to leave the original school.

At 6'5 348 hes like the anti-Leach OL. I imagine they said we need you to lose 40+ pounds and he thought it easier to transfer

Luckily offensive line is one of the strongest areas for Mississippi State. Reese has a little brother on Florida, right? I'm sure being with his old coach and little brother for his last year was too much to pass up as a graduate transfer.

That’s a good get for the Gators.

Maurice Smith was a grad transfer in 2016 and more than likely was going to play a lot or start for Bama

Mo Smith was a career backup but was in line to be the starting 5th (Nickel) defensive back in 2016. Bama had some injuries that year in the secondary and got gassed in the NC game against Clemson in a very close loss. I still think Mo made a big mistake...he could have been the difference on an SEC and NC team and instead played on a meaningless 7-5 team in Athens. He probably wouldn't admit it, but I'd bet he feels it was a big mistake in retrospect as well.

We didn’t need him anyways.
