Stanley McClover + HBO = Improper Benefits?
Could this also be. He received money from an agent while at school? I ran one of the bars downtown and saw football players quite often and had a few work for me. I can tell you when McClover first came in he did not have any money. He begged people to buy him drinks but his last year he bought drinks all the time for everybody. And he would always be talking how he was going to be a first rounder. Ha. Then he declared early. I always thought someone was telling him this bs.
Not saying one way or another but he could also be talking about money from agents while playing. As I said in a thread I started before. I know of a few guys in the sec and some other conferences that took money. At auburn, no one for sure but some guys did have more money than they should. And he was one of them.
Also as a side note to how much of a dumbarse McClover is he could not pass organic gardening with a tutor. Easiest class at auburn. And heard stories from some of my employees how he used plastic bags as condoms.
Fwiw
So you've seen first hand the AUPD give a pass to football players or show up right after a football player has fled the scene and just miss him.

Lay it on me Brah! I need a good laugh, something to make me smile today. Too pretty outside to be stuck inside, but here I am.

I've heard the same rumor. And supposedly the guy he's gonna narc out is Eddie Gran.
You know... FSU-best-recruiting-class-in-the-country Eddie Gran?
Though I find it kinda hard to believe... Eddie Gran I always considered one of the "good guys".
But, as has been proven before by everybody else and their brother, seems its open warfare on the recruiting trail these days.

That would surprise me as well. I am an Alabama Fan, but i have had a chance to meet Coach Gran a couple of times. He is really a nice guy. I guess it is alls fair.

That was after I left. Never really saw cops till when we were leaving. The football players usually pretty cool. More problems with roided out guys than athletes. Although athletes would try and push the average guy around a bit.

yeah, supposedly though the statute of limitations has run so he nor the school will get in trouble
I bet AU would hate for a loophole to be found in regard to the above. Saved by a loophole...only to be reamed by a loophole.

There was someone telling him that BS. Chris Capps told him that after every sack McClover made of Brodie Croyle, "Damn, dude. You are owning me and killing my QB. You've got 1st round talent."
