College Football is what it is because of rivalry and traditions, we're not gonna piss on that because some of you can't handle playing a good team every year. There was a time when UT was better than UF, and that day will come again.

So what's Bama's excuse for avoiding the Top of the SEC East and adding Mizzou and Kentucky? Can't handle playing a good team? Get rematch when you do?

Those are just two more examples of why I keep hoping they install an ignore button around here one of these days.

SECR needs this.

I've already gone into detail explaining why Tennessee will never be what they once were.

I'm sure idiot were saying this when Bama was down too.

For those bitching and moaning itt, the solution is simple: stop worrying about others' schedule, and beat who's on yours.

The SEC Championship should only be determined by division record anyway.
Another position taken by Miles and Spurrier. Do they talk a lot?

What's really funny about this whole thing is in basketball, Alabama's permanent rival :drumroll: Auburn. Didn't bother to pick UT in those sports, can't say I blame you. Huge rivalry, but only in football because the vols suck in that sport. Gotta have Auburn in the basketballs.

Well #1 you haven't done anything yet

#2 you're putting words in my mouth. Go back and actually read what I wrote. Tennessee is the SEC's version of Nebraska.

Is UF/UGA not a rivalry either?

Go back and read what I wrote, that's not applicable to bama circa 2006 at all

Alabama's past and Tennessee's current situations aren't remotely the same.

It is a horrible argument because Tennessee recruits at a top 5-10 level nationally with a competent recruiter, even now.

Vols being good in football is good for business. If your Athletic Department could be trusted to quit fricking up every sport you play, that would be a massive improvement. The silver lining on the cloud of firing Pearl is that you got rid of the dumbass in charge.

That sounds like good advice for athletes actually playing in the games.

I'm a fan. I'll bitch about whatever I want to bitch about.

Search for one of the dozens of threads about them not playing a NCG outside of the state of Florida. The tenor of those threads is a lot like this one. You guys are so fricking blind it is hilarious. Also, there's like 5 UF posters here.

I have never once heard a UF fan or representative of the university ever complain that their game with LSU shouldn't be played yearly, or that it isn't fair that they have to play LSU while UGA got to play auburn every year. They same can't be said for LSU fans or the representitives of the university. That is the equivalent of what is being discussed here. Not whether or not UF feels like traveling outside their state.

What you wrote about what? There were those that considered Bama a dead program in the early 2000s.

The solution for the mouth breathers who keep coming in these threads and saying meaningless tautologies like merrrrrrrrrp beat everyone, don't post in this thread. It is a dumb thing to say.

Watch:

Look how unfair it is that Bama has to play 6 conference games against teams coming off byes. Merrrrrrrrrrp beat everyone.

Look how unfair it is that the conference makes UT play with 10 players on defense. Merrrrrrrrrp beat everyone.

Look how unfair it is for State to start every game in 10 point hole. Merrrrrrrrrp just beat everyone.

Fullmer and Majors did it before everyone was on TV all the time. That changed in the early 2000's and suddenly Tennessee started dropping off
