Did Jimbo say something that wasn’t true?

Neither coach lied except when they said they don’t cheat as well

Not in that particular press conference I guess

An 8-4 record is your evidence that A&M promised recruits NIL money before they signed

Nope. But, Evan Stewart asking other staffs to match the $800k he was promised (practically begging in a couple cases, because he didn't want to go there) and Walter Nolen's handlers asking staff members directly (not even going through third parties and other handlers as was usually done before NIL with recruits being shopped around) to match ATM's offer of $450 k up front, more later, more for other family members, and a trip to Hawaii is pretty solid evidence.

Aggies aren’t as smart as they think they are.

So you’re talking rumors about handlers and stuff with bidding, etc. And These type of accusations have been going on across the country for years tho, right? We can all recall Countless players over the past 20-30 years rumored to been paid.

That’s not even NIL related. And that’s not evidence.

What I think about it doesn't matter. But, what the coaching staffs think about it does make a difference. You're right about what I (some random fan) think, though. The point is that loose lips sink ships, and there are a lot of those out there (among people that actually matter) that are talking a lot right now.

You are falling for marketing/influence.

It’s like asking a polarizing question like is there a god. It can neither be proven or disproven which is why it is called a belief.

The same goes here. Just asking a question which can not be proven or disproven just riles people up on both sides. I would ask the question of whether what Saban said can be substantiated. At this point, I don’t believe that to be the case. You may believe it to be true. Could it be true? Sure, but where I think he runs afoul is “the entire team was bought”. It’s certainly possible but my current understanding is that not all players have NIL deals.

I hear ya.

I just think it’s more about the fact that many people think A&M is not supposed to be able to do what the other guys have done.

I'm curious if team harmony will be disrupted in the locker rooms where the players are getting different sized paychecks from their collectives, compared to at schools whose collectives are set up for equal payouts

So why don't you tell us your Aggie logic about why 7 5 stars, all being recruited by teams that have actually won their division and conference, and playoffs and national championships, in the past five years would go to an 8-4 team that was scared of Wake fricking Forest.

Poor Spurrier. He's buddies with Slocum and was cool with A&M, but between Sumlin making his arse quit and Jimbo taking over, he just can't help but be rustled.

The 2nd whiniest coach in history defends the whiniest coach in history. Surprise.

He must be wanting an adviser job. Bama fans are naive. It's no different than Lane sucking up to Bama for the HCing job if he is still winning when Saban leaves or falls through and needs another OC job.
