I guess Ronnie Brown made a few calls and got his mind right, much like he did with Stanley McClover. 
That and he probably didn't want Gene Chizik and his leather jacket showing up on his door step late at night with a ball bat.

I heard Moore talk about the tapes. But all he really said was that Cecil was shopping his son. $150,000 here $180,000 here. The question I have is, how is any school in trouble if the dad is the one saying the offer is out there. Unless, like he said there is more damning evidence on the tapes. For Moore's sake there better be. I think Auburn is quilty as sin, but if Cecil is the only one talking, how does that hurt any school. Someone tell me where I'm wrong here!

He has a bunch of money and owned the governor and was appointed. Auburn did not elect him. Unfortunately the alumni/students have no control

Egypt was able to get rid of Mubarak, but gumps aren't able to get rid of Louder. And I thought Egypt was a 3rd world country???

From what has been said by reasonable people and non auburns is that cecils claims of offers were just claims and when msu turned him down auburn was the last resort.
