No one in the SEC could muster up 3 true rivals on their best day

Auburn can historically. Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Then why haven't the barners been playing Florida? That rivalry went away decades ago. The SEC survived and so did the barners and Florida. And so will everyone else when the dust settles once again.

Since 1992, divisions have taken over the landscape. They have decided so-called rivals. And now that too are going the way of the DoDo bird. That's life.

At this point, some people are making up rivals to dodge playing A&M, tu, OU or Mizzou. Not saying Auburn is, but some fans can’t bare to let go of “historic” rivals they haven’t played in 20 years to keep one of the 4 I listed off their schedule. Name one SEC school with the balls to want to smoke the Sooners annually? They all volunteer A&M, tu, or Mizzou to dodge a possible loss.

Arkies rival is Texas. Game of the century, Holtz upsets number one Texas in 81, lots of history.

It's Texas and only Texas.

Another reason to simply play 8 games and get all these so-called rivals over and finished for good. Playing every team in the SEC is far more important for competitive balance and fairness.

It's a whole new world out there.

The rivalry hasn’t gone away; it’s just become intermittent. The rivalry will still be one of the most intense in the conference even if we only play two out of every four years going forward.

Well, that's where we are all heading. So good for you and me.
