Are they going to wrap him in toilet paper and pretend it's a wedding dress?

I don't know man. From what I've gathered a "couples shower" is when the bride and groom invite all of their friends that are currently in a relationship with someone. Then you bring a gift that's appropriate for both the bride and groom.

I'm not very wedding savvy though so this could just be fake and some cruel type of torture...

its a plot to make you give them 2 gifts.

My bad for scheduling a wedding on a Saturday in the fall. Let me change all of my plans and limit my weekends to hot arse Saturdays in the Summer, or brown arse days in the Winter. I could do Spring, but you'd bitch about that as well.

Sorry to ask for you to miss a FOOTBALL GAME.

Surely we could schedule it in the Spring or on a Sunday, but you'd probably bitch about having to miss a Saints game instead.

Get over it.

oh HBT, I appreciate the advise, and I'll manage to keep track of the game. Seeing Merlin's anger towards Auburn after a loss is one of those priceless moments that I'll refuse to miss this year

Yep, buddy scheduled his wedding the afternoon of the Florida game. Just told him I would be out of town with family that day.

This thread reminds me of a girl I knew in college who scheduled her wedding I. Tuscaloosa the weekend of Homecoming. She booked the church, the place for the reception, the whole nine yards, then had a meltdown when she discovered all the hotels were booked that weekend.

not a problem for auburn

i dont mind weddings in feb-aug, I like college basketball and baseball but i can deal with missing a game.

they just have so many more and the spring is wedding season so its ok to schedule during that time, now i would say people need to take into consideration big weekends like march madness and the cws, supers and regionals

One is my wife's best friend. Another girl was a bridesmaid in my wedding...a girl you know too.

And the other, hell I don't know why I'm getting dragged to that one.

My bad for wanting to watch 12 football games a year and not have to miss any of them for some "look at me!" ritual that is likely to end in divorce in a few years for a couple selfish idiots who don't have the decency to schedule their shite on any other fricking day of the year that isn't one of those 12.

Add holiday weekends to your rant. Cool, your getting married on New Year's Eve. Don't cry when nobody comes to it.
