I think what he was referring to is the fact that there are two major colleges in SC.

~ 6.1 Million in Missouri and only 1 P5 university (Tigers)
~ 5.0 million in South Carolina and 2 P5 universities (Cocks and Taters)

Had you attended a university you'd know that the purpose of the institution is to educate, not entertain bumpkins. The P5 designation matters to only individuals on this website.

Missouri is home to multiple heralded-schools of higher learning.

So only P5 counts as a major college?? Then SC's economy should be so MUCH better.... Hmm... lets look... NOPE...

Saint Louis University is good because the Jesuits run it, not because it is in Missouri. I guess you believe Notre Dame is a top school because it is in Indiana?

Washington University is private, not public which excludes it from flagship consideration. While is was the result of the locals wanting a good school in their backyard it was not the property of the state.

These are the only 2 that come to mind quickly and both are PRIVATE, not PUBLIC.

I know this is hard for you to wrap your head around but I attended one of the top universities in the US. I am also quite familiar with the two institutions outlined above as both educated several friends and family.

MO state school has 4 campuses actually.

What is your point?

Ohio State has multiple campuses and yet they still have other large public institutions in the state.

Ohio State
Cincinnati
Miami
Ohio
BGSU
Kent State
Toledo
Akron
Cleveland State

Missouri @ Columbia ~ 31,000 students
South Carolina @ Columbia ~ 34,000 students
Taters @ Clemson ~ 23,000 students

So a state with over 1 million more people has fewer students at their primary state schools main campus than the 2 school in SC.

Seems you have a hard time grasping this odd imbalance.

What does this have to do with anything?

Your post has nothing to do with what I was referring. You start out with some meaningless P5 comment and then turn to private vs. public and some Flagship reference.

Yet, one state still has a higher percentage of college graduates.

I was responding to a post in the thread and do not think it was yours

The basic point was Missouri @ Columbia was about the same size as SC @ Columbia. Not hard for folks to grasp. Did you by chance ride a short bus as a kid?

Yeah, was talking to a family member last night on the way home from the game, Tennessee fan, and he told me Holly has complained about how out of hand some of the games have gotten in CoMo and that she actually filed a complaint with the SEC office either this year or last year, he couldn't remember for sure.

This will all backfire on Mizzou eventually because the SEC has always run a very classy Women's Basketball League on a foundation that Pat Summitt built. The rest of the coaches are not gonna wanna see that tarnished by Mizzou in any way.

I am going to suggest Cocks are better than Tigers in pretty much any sport they compete win head to head.

This thread has nothing but South Carolina and Mizzou posters in it save you. Your obsessed with Mizzou is unhealthy. I suggest you see a doctor.

This page maybe, but the thread has folks from other places. State fans have a vested interest in the outcome of this game.
