I don't agree with you.
The Williams Brice reno will be legit. Im excited for the in stadium improvements. It's gonna rival Jerry world.

The "battery" is about a half mile walk TO the stadium and will be the best area around a cfb stadium ever conceived by man!!

Your post reeks of jealousy. I don't blame you because if we pull this off places like Athens will be left behind.

So they are at the very first stages of requesting more information to see if they can find any money to fund this. Got it. Really speculative.

At the same time, if schools can copy the pro model of developing an entertainment district around the stadium, it could be a game changer. Restaurants, bars, tailgate area, huge hangout area with screens, hotels—it’s the new standard. My favorite: the Deer District for the Milwaukee Bucks—60k fans outside the stadium to see them win a championship.

Golf course is supposedly going in the flood plain zone since it isn't zoned for "structural" development. Also strong hints of the possibility of a new basketball arena. At the very least major improvements to CLA. That CLA area is phase 2 of the project.

I lived in Columbia for 6 years and gave it a lot of shite, but it really has come a long long way. I'm excited for the people there to see this kind of news. A golf course on the river site would be really nice. A new basketball arena would be nice to, hell the one yall have isn't that old either. I would love to see the triangle bulldozed behind 5 points, and I would love to see the train bridge over Gervais painted with "Carolina". The only real knock on Columbia now is the 250' elevation and the extreme heat 75% of the year.
