My favorite was the one Aggie fan that legit cried about the entire ordeal (yes there were plenty more Gamecocks that melted)

The State

quote:

Karen Barrow, who lived in South Carolina for two years as a child, had told Aggie friends how friendly people are here.

So she was disappointed that some University of South Carolina students disrupted the traditional yell practice.

“They were cussing,” she said. “I know they’re college kids, but show a little respect.”

I would recommend she stay far, far away from Willy B, then. She'd damn near be in hysterics if that made her cry.

The best part is when the police removed them from their own statehouse

quote:

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - At midnight, the South Carolina State House was invaded by Texas A&M Aggies, but not before Gamecock Nation made its voice heard.

Texas A&M fans started showing up to the steps of the historic building more than an hour early. But Gamecocks soon showed up too. In fact, at first they tried to highjack the yell practice, walking up the steps of the State House and chanting.

Things began for Aggie fans after Department of Public Safety officers removed a big group of USC students and alumni.

Probably

The idea of it is better than the actual act would be.

I and fellow old farts were there for Trill's debut in '14. We had a great time at midnight yell and before, during, and after the game. Very gracious hosts at USC. Fun loudmouths at the courthouse. (I still think it was an extremely dirty move to have Kyle Carpenter speak before the game, though. I thought A&M was doomed. ) I was impressed that USC students gave enough of a damn to go to the courthouse at midnight. We had no problems at all and had a great time. Then again, I'm not an LSU fan. Y'all should probably watch those sumbitches.

Happy to have you guys come, but meh.

We are jsut a bad matchup to be rivals. About as far apart as you can get in the SEC, it's a rare day when our alums run into one another, let alone trash talking on an every day basis.

Guess that's just the way it is, considering how most SEC schools have long standing rivalries with schools in the opposite division.

Hmmm would Missouri rather play Arkansas or A&M? If I were a Mizzou fan I'd prefer Arkansas for the locality, but Texas might be better for recruiting purposes.

I think UGA or Florida vs A&M has alot more potential to become a rivalry than A&M vs USC.

I don’t think any of the 3 will embrace a rivalry with A&M

I won’t speak for A&M but I doubt they don’t feel the same way
