I know yall return 4 or 5 starters on the oline but I always treat the unit as a wait and see if it was unproven the previous year.

We return basically everyone off of our 2 deep and we were top 5 last year. I see no reason for a drop off.

Spurrier got Goff and Donavon fired... and if he hadn't left for the Skins, he would've gotten Richt fired.

You're stretching. Donnan got fired for losing to GT. I think he actually beat the Gators in the year he was fired.

Goff sucked. You could say that 6 teams in the SEC got him fired.

And as far as Richt goes... he's 4-6 against Spurrier. Not good. But absolutely not a fireable record.

Cocks stroke their own egos more than any fanbase I've ever seen.

On this board, yes (for some reason... it's really only a/b 2-3 guys, they just post often and there aren't many of us to begin w/). Not typical of the fanbase at large, I don't think.

Do this many people really think SC is playing at Clemson 2 years in a row?

Also, they're gonna slaughter UNC in the opener, epic beatdown.

True. I am more of the turd in the punchbowl type of fan. Most of our fans are somewhere between me and the sunshine pumpers.

Fair enough.

Traditionally, your fanbase is one of the most loyal.
But like a lot of programs that rise on occasion, handling success is a challenge for some.

Not sure what to do with this, usually meansonny is the meanest.

I think the same can be said for programs that were also on the top, on the way down.

GT played a factor, but Donnan also got fired for his dismal record against UF and UT. And no, he didn't beat UF the year he was fired (00).
And what would Richt's record against Spurrier be if the latter had stayed at UF?

Why do people keep bringing this up. What if Spurrier had stayed at Duke? Where would UF be?
