This always cracks me up. You act as if Texas isn't 9-3 vs A&M this century.

Lest we not forget A&M didn't lose 13 of the first 14 match-ups... as if there was such a thing as a preeminent football powerhouse in 1897. Why couldn't your military boys beat up on a bunch of college and arts nerds from Austin early on before football really developed?

From the looks of it A&M had one good decade from the mid-80s to the mid-90s - which took place during arguably the worst decade in Texas' history. Since that time Texas has gone 12-5 vs the Aggies.

If you only want to go post 60s well Texas sure as shite walloped A&M in the 70s, the rest of the 80s, and all through the 2000s.

Don't give me this "we were just the little guy bullshite." You played in a major conference the entire time and had some of your best all-time seasons pre-1960s but routinely got hammered by the Horns.

9-3 during one of A&M‘s worst eras ever and during the Longhorns best era ever in their history.

I believe we are 25/25 in our last 50 games with them

How could it have been one of A&M's worse eras? I swore I was told Texas only beat A&M because they were a small military school?

And again, if you want to cut out "worst decades" you'd have to cut 10 out of A&M's 37 wins when they beat the Horns 10 out of 11 in the 80s-90s because of how poor Texas was.

ETA: Also, if you want to apply that logic A&M started playing us during what is actually one of our worst sustained stretches - even by the standards of our mediocre history.

Speaking of decades, did you know U of SC only won 41 games in 90s.

If you try to find your best decade, you're in it right now. Not even winning 60% of your games. You have 3, possibly 4, losing season in your best decade.

If you go way back to 1903 and review every single season, U of SC has finished ranked exactly 9 times. Can you imagine having only 9 decent to great seasons in 120 years?

You're making this way more complicated than it needs to be. What's South Carolina's record against clemson in the last 50 years?

Hint, a lot worse than a&m/texas which is just about split evenly. Sucks to suck.

Be careful comparing yourself to Northwestern.

They have more ranked seasons, more recent ranked seasons, more conference titles, more weeks ranked at #1 (you've never been), more all americans, and I could continue, but I'm just starting to feel bad.

For some reason Old Sarge said it was 25-25. When it fact it is more like 33-17 - including when A&M won 10/11 during Texas' worst stretch in school history. Want to go back 60 years? It's even worse.

Conversely SC is 17-32-1 vs Clemson in their last 50 games which includes the current losing streak during Clemson's dominating run over nearly all of CFB while we have fielded a dog shite team.

So it's really not that different Aggie.
