Also in that timeframe we have 6 trips out there with 2 titles and 2 runner ups

And Tanner still retired as only the 2nd all time wins leader here.

I think he was about a season away from taking the lead before the AD job.

I don’t think it’s been overrated coaching, the guy was steady, recruited well. Just one of those things, I guess.
