I'm saying it would have been the correct choice for his future.

He would have been signing on to a Chizik team. Not sure you can safely say that.

Well either way he would have had a NC ring in year 1 which already more success than he had at South Carolina.

His body wouldn't have been put through the workload it was right from the start which would have lengthened his career.

And he wouldn't have been able to save Chizik in 2012 so he still would have been able to go out on a high note his senior year with Malzahn.

You can't really argue any of those points.

Both injuries were freak accidents...not wear and tear. No way to say they wouldnt have happened anywhere he went. Yes he liked auburn but his heart was always SC, as he wanted to stay close to family. His sister was at SC as well, quit trying to troll a legit convo. This is beneath even you.

Maybe, maybe not, but I notice you conveniently left out the distinct possibility that dealing with Chizik could induce a life-long crippling alcoholism.

If Lattimore hadn't been injured I definitely think he would have been a Heisman candidate, whether he would have won we'll never know.

I also think he would have been an outstanding pro. We have sucked for a long time at run blocking, but he had a unique ability to make the first guy miss and get positive yards no matter what.

The yards he got against Alabama and Georgia were mostly him his freshman year. We went from not really having a running game, to instantly having one, even against the usual Alabama defense (which at the time was still mainly built to stop the run).

Will say, whatever criticisms you can make about Spurrier, he really did know how to call a game and set up Lattimore to get yards.

Well when he didn't have one of his "spells" and abandon the running game, even if it was getting yards.

Looking back, you do really have to wonder what he could have done in a Malzahn offense though. He was tailor made for it I think.

And most years Auburn has a great offensive line. Not going to peruse draft lists for the past few decades, but I'd wager only LSU and Alabama regularly send more OL to the NFL out of the SEC.

Actually the national title team's line wasn't that highly drafted. only 2 guys were drafted (Lee Ziemba and Brandon Mosley) in late rounds and are no longer in the NFL.

That running game/team was strictly Gus and Cam.
