That's pretty damn funny.
Bruce Pearl is currently employed at his last job right now.
When he retires is up to him. The court will have his name on it after he retires. He is not looking for greener grass at 63 years old after what he has done at AU.
Deal with it.

Might as well, you already named the football field after a guy that was forced to retire due to cheating.

Why would Pearl stay at Auburn when he could be part of the Kentucky/Louisville madness? It's no different than if Mark Stoops or Jeff Brohm were offered the HVCjob at Bama or Auburn. It is what it is man.

On the one hand I love seeing Louisville at the bottom of the barrel right now, but on the other hand the rivalry is just better when both teams are up to snuff. I'm sure you can appreciate that in regards to the Iron Bowl.

Just curious what has he done? Went to one final four and nothing else past the first round of the tournament? Won the SEC twice? And he gets things named after him? Kentucky would run Cal out of town for that.

We're working on trying to run Cal out of town now for the horseshite performances he's out up these past couple of seasons. Not earning his check at all. It's bullshite.

Oh man.....Pearl at Louisville would approach Pitino levels of hate for this fan base. Make it happen.

I think he stays, but Louisville + Pearl would be good entertainment.

Absolutely. Pearl at Louisville v Calipari at Kentucky would be a statewide three ring circus and I am here for it.

Louisville needs to just hurry and get rid of Payne which I think they will. And Ole Miss, Bama, Tennessee and Auburn better have the checkbook ready.

like bama doesn't/hasn't cheated

Coach Dye got the iron bowl moved to Auburn in 1989.... we could spend pages talking about all the good he did for Auburn.. if you think there is any shame in naming the field after him - you crazier than a rat in a tin shithouse.

APT - cool film about Coach Dye

I am no fan of nepotism.

If it takes Pearl's son waiting in the wings to stay at Auburn then he can depart from here. Love Pearl, but he got Auburn to where he was and don't want the program sliding back jusy to satisfy familial connections.

If he left I’d probably melt a bit, but also be super grateful for the past decade of entertaining basketball, which was like 100x more fun to watch than when I was a student.

The Final Four run is maybe the most exciting/fun time I’ve had an Auburn fan (including the Cam year). Just blasting through Kansas, UNC, and UK was just ridiculous. We would’ve won it all that year without the Chuma injury.

Why would Bruce leave?
Bruce is experiencing it now. Main man on campus. Both teams in the state playing high level ball and top echelon of NCAA. Iron Bowl BB complete sell out in both arenas on a Wed night. Madness!
Currently Auburn has #3 recruiting class in the country for next year, outstanding facilities. Bama has outstanding program and in first place. The SEC is loaded.
Stoops or Brohm would not sleep for days, crap in their britches and puke pregame of the IB.

Another clueless dumbass. You state that Pearl has only made it past the first round once.

That is quite strange considering he’s never lost a first round game in the tournament since he’s been at Auburn.

Nice try loser….

There should be a taser reserved for dumb posts like this. Pearl is a god on the plains right now. He has no want to go do a rebuild at Louisville and Ohio State would never accept his politics.
