Like I said.....it was pretty good.
But you're right on putting them at 5. Pretty low on versatility. But maybe someone with more experience can convince me it has more options that gator.

Really good fried gator with a side of spicy ranch is great
Better than chicken if done perfectly, but few do it well and fried chicken is easier to find done well

I had teriyaki gator steak my last trip to Nola. Was delicious but I can imagine gator could be easy to screw up.
Hard to frick up chicken.

You’ve got to go to a place that really knows what they’re doing to get that awesome alligator

Sorry, put a lot of thought into this, if you tell someone they can eat one last thing before they die and put a piece of crispy thick cut bacon next to a hot wing

I like pork more than I like chicken but I've definitely had some wings phenomenally better than any bacon I've ever had.
It isn't he bacon that's putting the pork ahead of the chicken....it's pulled pork, chops, tenderloin, etc.
hell....pork rinds.

Now you're getting into the BBQ topic.
Let's not forget about chicken tenders/nuggets.

Rooster is too high. It’s a fighting rooster at that. I’ve had some stewed rooster, it just takes some work.

Pork vs Chicken is an interesting conversation. Chicken is much easier to raise. Pork is so much better, if you put the time into all the stuff you have to do to raise it and process it. Cow is the top of the protein food chain, for sure.

3. Shark. Ole Miss - need somebody who can cook it properly
4. Chicken. South Carolina - they are male and older, tougher meat than a hen
NR Cow (texas joining in 2025) - aka taco meat aka cheap and greasy
