LSU fans have to let this go. A) Nutt wasn't from the "Saban coaching tree" and B) it's clear he was making a recommendation of someone who wouldn't be a threat to his legacy. He's much more secure in his legacy (i.e. GOAT status) now.

Saban's words are authentic because he was very detailed in his praise. You can tell when Saban doesn't think that highly of a coach. He says generic things like "one of the best coaches that I have had" or "he's done a great job there" without going into specifics.
