I watched the whole speech on WAFB's YouTube channel last night. The team really enjoyed what Tate had to say. I thought it was fine. Yes, he clearly is a big fan and his enthusiasm is quite genuine.

The athletes seem to love him, he gets mentioned by name often. Having a black president who from all accounts seems to relate to the athletes is definitely a plus.
