Yes. Losing a 5-star recruit when Texas already has 2 or 3 in the same class and losing the best coach in school history across any sport that ever made your school relevant in anything are totally the same thing

Heck it’s got me looking at Amarillo more and more for retirement, an affordable ranch, low taxes, and I can be in the mountains in less than a half day drive

When I come back to visit Texas, I don’t really feel back until I am in the still small towns and open spaces. Amarillo should still feel like Texas. And once you get enough away from city lights, West Texas stars are great…
And New Mexico mountains are not far away…

I predict the avid CFB fan is now just an aging generation. We only lust for it because we've loved it for so long.
I don't see any young ones jumping into this clown car. Hell, even college itself has played out its value in life. Higher education in general has been a cash-grabbing scam for over a decade now, and I can see that starting to play out. But along with selling worthless degrees, even the most noble of Universities become whores when it comes to this football farce.
If I hadn't been a Texas fan for decades I would laugh at this and not even bat an eye. I suspect most of you are that way. You wouldn't give this prima donna shitshow the time of day if not for the glory days gone by.
