Pitching is one of many reasons OU is so good, not any field. Keep in mind they played 2/3rds of the games on the road this year, and yet dominated teams. They run ruled UCLA on the road @ UCLA.
This is before todays shutout. And add 9 to Tenn ERA too.

Omaha shouldn't have a lock either. The dumbassery is all yours in assuming you should have a divine right to hosting every year.
If you honestly think the venue is making any difference with how OU is playing, you're a bigger fool than the way your posts make you sound. I know you have no idea, but just about every place OU played this season (nationwide), the stadiums were crimson red. It's a home stadium everywhere. But by all means... Lobby your city or state to spend tens of millions of dollars building a state of the art facility and have your city or state try and be the next Mecca of college softball. With these Oklahoma teams though, It wouldn't make any difference. There's not a team on the planet that could beat this team twice anywhere on the planet and until all of those other teams choose to get better, It doesn't matter where this tournament is played.

Good game OU, and good luck going forward to both teams. Had I known this thread would denigrate to nothing but jackassery I wouldn't have started it.

You don’t have to be a little bitch about your idea. Go ahead and list each of the state of art softball facilities around the country that you think it should be played. Obviously you don’t mean on campuses, because that wouldn’t be fair.
If you think the Rose, Sugar, and Orange should be moved, feel free to throw in that info, as well.

Might want to dial it back a bit. The best teams don’t always win. Sometimes they even lose 2/3.

Yeah this WCWS is far from over. Stanford and Florida State are clamoring. I know OU defeated Stanford but that took a full game and some fortunate instances to get it done. Nothing is easy.

The problem with moving this softball tournament is the size of most stadiums that were constructed to be softball specific. The seating capacities of most softball stadiums are usually limited to about 2,000 fans.
And to modify a typical baseball field would require removing the grass from the infield area.
Just not enough of an economic benefit versus spending a considerable amount to make it work.

I’m aware. Prof is the one who thinks it should be rotated. I expect him back any time specifying which softball stadiums he believes should host.

Well, OU is building an on campus new softball complex that will be done for next season. Maybe we can move it there to keep it fair.
We go thru this song and dance every year OU is in playoffs. Its an annual ritual for certain whiners. They can’t accept what Patty has built. She’s been OU coach since 1995 and its taken her forever to build the program into a powerhouse.
Some don’t realize OU didn’t even have an on campus softball field when Patty took over. They played games at a park! Yes, a local park.
Patty is one of the important people involved in the sport who has helped grow the sport into a net positive for the big teams. OU actually makes money on softball. The final 8 playoffs draw higher TV audiences per game than collge baseball final 8.

People don't understand this lol. I'd love for some of these "whiners" to come to Norman for a regular season game and try and get a ticket to the game. For women's softball... It is legitimately harder to get a ticket for softball than it is for any men's sporting event. That is what Patty built from almost nothing going back nearly 30 years.

I'm sure they do but it's 30 mins away and a home game. This game should be rotated. OKC is an awesome venue but it's unfair to everyone else that it's in one spot.
So you are in favor of moving the CWS out of Omaha because it is such obviously beneficial to Nebraska or Creighton right?
1. The contract is through 2035
2. Where would you move it? To a stadium that holds 3,000?
3. 70% of the tickets are sold outside of Oklahoma.
