Isn’t Oklahoma undefeated on the season or some crazy shite

They lost an away game to Baylor by 1 run early in season (non conference game)

We are 51-1 and IF we win the next 4 games we will tie Arizona at 47 for the most consecutive wins.

This Alabama team got the 5th overall seed?
Holy shite.
They have been terrible all season. Must be a down year all around.

The seeding did not make much sense at all to me. I have a daughter so started following softball more the last couple of years.
Alabama finished 5th in the SEC behind Ten, UGA, Auburn, and Arkansas...but got a higher seed than 3 of those teams.
LSU finished 6th, but got a higher seed than 4 teams that finished above them. Arkansas lost a home series to UGA, finished 2 spots behind them in the league standings, but was seeded higher.
Auburn won 40 games and finished 3rd in the SEC and is a 2 seed at Duke.
Oklahoma State struggled mightily late, got swept at Texas, yet got a top 8 seed while Texas did not.
Just so many head scratchers with their rhyme and reason for seeding. It certainly wasn't based on the on field results.

Lady Vols and Bama on a collision course for the first round in OKC. Unfortunately on the same side of the bracket with Oklahoma. Almost would rather have had the overall 6 to stay away from the Sooners as long as possible.
Gotta get there first though.

Honestly haven’t heard anything else. What’s the status of Montana Fouts?

It's pretty easy to figure out why certain teams are higher than some thought they might be
Record vs the RPI Top 50
- Oklahoma (29-1) (#1 seed)
- UCLA (27-5) (#2 seed)
- FSU (21-6) (#3 seed)
- Tennessee (26-8) (#4 seed)
- Alabama (24-15) (#5 seed)
Alabama played the #3 hardest schedule in the country. The only teams with more Top 50 wins than them are Oklahoma, UCLA and Tennessee. They played #7 Duke (W), #2 UCLA (L), #3 FSU (W), #10 Texas (W, L) out of conference in addition to the conference schedule.
- Arkansas (18-16)
- Auburn (18-15)
- Georgia (18-12)
#5 still feels too high - somewhere in the #8-10 range seems to make more sense. With that said, if Fouts is out they will struggle to make it out of their regional. The drop off is massive and their bats are "inconsistent" at best.

Everybody, including the Bama team, was shocked when this was announced

Auburn is going to frick up Oklahoma

OU stat
Jayda Coleman and Tiare Jennings are 2 of the best hitters in softball. If you took both of them out of the lineup, OU is still slugging .629, which would still be #1 in the nation. Even crazier is the fact that the gap from 1st to 2nd would still be greater than the gap from 2nd to 10th…WITHOUT Coleman and Jennings.
Also, new stadium opens in 24:
During Coach Patty Gasso’s first three seasons with Oklahoma softball (1995-97), the Sooners’ home field was a city park (Reaves Park).
Twenty-six years later, Gasso and Oklahoma could close out Marita Hynes Field with the longest win streak (48 games) in NCAA softball history.

Unfortunately, no they aren't. Might as well save some time and hand OU the trophy now.

Complete joke. Should have been around #13 or 14. And if Fouts is hurt, they won’t make it out of their own regional

So Alabama is #5 in the SEC final standings. I don’t understand how Alabama host a regional while being #5 in the SEC, but Auburn at #3 in the SEC not hosting. Things that make you go hmm!
