Who's rumblings? I don't even know who the fricke Dan Werner is. Seriously, what was his role at Bama ?I don't keep up with all the staff. I couldn't tell u if we have a new defensive coordinator yet or who we may be looking at. All I know is whomever it is will run a 3-4, man up, attacking defense with physical safeties and corners and linebackers that will blitz on every 3rd down. I don't really care who it is, that's what he will do. So will the next guy.

It wouldn’t surprise me. But I really think Saban will hire a young OC. To keep around a couple years. As he’s done on defense with Tosh and Golding. Both under 35.

He had all the gaudy offenses at Ole Miss under Freeze as OC ... but Freeze fired him for some unknown reason and Saban immediately hired him.
He just left Bama a few days ago to become QB coach and mentor to BMac at SC.
I'm hearing some rumblings tonight that Saban has reached out to him for some reason. Not sure why exactly ... could be for advice or opinions I guess, but that doesy make sense with Saban IMHO.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. He just signed a $500k a year deal with SC ... and supposedly rushed his family over here to get the kids enrolled in school right away. But then I heard tonight his wife and kids are still in Tuscaloosa.
Again, who knows.
Should find out a lot more tomorrow.
