Apparently Cole Hutson maintained amateur status by not signing a pro contract or receiving an UDFA signing bonus.

I also think that not everyone knows the details about each players’ situation.

do yall really think if the rule passes that lsu will be the only team that adds players. all they did was add players when it was legal, its not legal now so they arent on the team,when it becomes legal again they will be back.

And that is the difference between LSU and everyone else. Everyone else is waiting to let it play out before they decide on something that could have dire consequences. LSU on the other hand said STTDB, we don’t care what the rules are we are doing it.

By the time that was a rule, the guys were officially waived and their contracts were null and void with no money exchanging hands. How do you punish a school for doing something that wasn't against the rule when they were doing it?
