So many people here only have seen UT as the Derek Dooley Volunteers.
FOREVER, this was THE game in the SEC regular season. This game decided the SEC champion. Well, here we are again. Yes, UGA is there and they always have been but UGA and UT didn't play every year.
This was a good ole SEC game that meant everything with keith Jackson starting the telecast with "Folks, the 3rd saturday in Oct has again found itself on the calendar and that means one thing. Bama and UT getting together amoung the changing colors in the smokey mountains and the Vol Navy making its way up the Tennessee. We've got a great matchup today and we're in the right place. Today its the Al-a-bama Crimson Tide vs the Volunteers from the University of Tennessee. Get ready, its gonna be fun."
