Never had it. Is it cinnamon spiced? If so, no thanks.

Other than spiced rum, liquors are meant to be on the rocks or neat without extra flavor additives.

Everything else is essentially a whiteclaw in other name.

No. And I hate flavored whiskey. I like Knob Creek, but made the mistake of buying some Knob Creek Maple awhile back.

No cinnamon spice flavoring here, just different types of wood staves to change the taste a bit during the final aging process.

And I also do not believe in whiskey on the rocks. I like it neat. Period.

I don't get into the hipster IPA/bourbon obsession.

Beer and Bourbon is as American as it gets.

My favorite Maker's is Cask Strength, but I think I like this a bit better than regular Maker's Mark (and I like regular Maker's Mark). It's probably on the level of Maker's 46.

46 is my go to, so I would likely be considered impoverished, and being devoid of taste, by Rant standards. I generally am not going to spend over $35-$40 for a bottle. I just tried the 101 and I think I like it even better than the 46.

If you get the chance to try Maker's Cask Strength - take it. Really good bourbon, imo.

You should look into who owns the large beer manufacturers.

But $108 is awfully steep for Eagle Rare, imo

Damn. Yep. Local grocer still only charging about $60 for it but it's just a single case they get every once in a while. I was able to snag two of them from the latest case. Tickled pink.

I'll have to try it out. I just hate what the whiskey/bourbon market has done. I get that it's a new generation, but every package store is becoming a vape store like variety of flavors (technically bourbon can't be bourbon if it's artificially flavored).

drinking some Woodford double Oaked

A good one to have in the collection.

One I really like for that $50 range is Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond.

Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is an outstanding value as well, imo.

Nice call on the uncle nearest. Middle TN is starting to crank out some nice juice with: uncle nearest, Nelson Bros, Nashville barrel, lei lets fork, and Belle Meade.

Dickel and Jack are shite.

For me tonight: I’m sipping some Blantons SFTB and some Barrel Selext Vantage.

Good choices. I like Belle Meade a little better. Currently have both in my lineup.

I'll have to start looking for it. But I haven't had a glimpse of Eagle Rare in two years, I don't think.
