When was he supposed to announce? Bama played a game 10 days ago. Hate Saban, but the timing was not tied to keeping kids at Bama.

Imagine getting to a top 3 school and walking in the door, and one day one of classes getting told the legend is leaving and the kid who hosted you on your official may be leaving and transferring as well as half the starters from last year.
I think transferring is hard on anyone, but for the kids who just got there it would be hard as hell.
I'm not getting into "screwing" or anything just how hard the whole situation would be

Holmon Wiggins was hired by A&M on 01/03/24. I thought it was a strange move at the time, especially since Sark has tried to hire him several times, but looking back on it, I think he probably knew that Saban was leaving..
If that is the case, then Lanning is probably a done deal as that was over a week ago.
