...but LSU discusses rostering a guy who got $190.00 in gas money, after Bama rosters a professional basketball player last year, and LSU gets kicked out?

Fact of the matter is the conference is about 16 different schools.
LSU wants to present themselves as above the rules of the commissioner which is operating on the behalf of the 16 schools then frick LSU.
Until all sixteen schools are signing pros then LSU damned well shouldn't, skippy

Let me break this down. Your school gave the keys to the kingdom of a multimillion dollar sports enterprise to a man with the emotional IQ of a ten year old. Your school’s AD and President made this person the de facto spokesperson for the university, and he inevitably does and says crazy things that sometimes raise ethical and moral questions. Looks and sounds a whole lot like a lack of institutional control. Sounds like an unstable person leading an unstable program, which, guess what? That’s a huge liability for the conference as a whole. LSU won’t get kicked out of the conference, but they need to assure the rest of us that adults are in charge.
