Well, Northern Illinois was ready to jump into the bowl game and this is over.

he lost his scholarship even though it was consensual
Well, aubrun has such high standards compared to other Universities. They always take the moral high ground.

She did a threesome that was totally consensual, there is video and she was able to give consent.
And you don't know if some of the video was deleted, do you?
At the end of the day, the players effectively have a contract with the university. If they boycott, they should lose their scholarship.
If they really want to make a statement, they should all transfer for next year. That way, they honor their contract.

So some anonymous dumbass who's watched a few Law and Order episodes is worth quoting as a legal expert now?
Well the poster in question was a lot smarter than you. I'd wager it's not a hard threshold to cross.
Hmmm seems to me we have precedents with "attractive nuisances" to go on.
And exactly how well does Oklahoma vet the guys they bring in? Do they run criminal background checks? Do the same due diligence that a day care has to do with respect to hiring employees?
Does Stoops know if any of his recruits have reputations for being aggressive in high school and before? Why should their behavior change at Oklahoma?
Tell me something. Say I run a business in Norman. And I always go down to Texas when I hire someone.
But in Norman, these guys are constantly getting in trouble, beating people up, stealing stuff, crimes like rape. For some reason local law enforcement doesn't seem too interested in the whole thing.
But you really don't think that is grounds for a Civil lawsuit?

And you're too stupid to realize that you basically made my point...which I used Briles to make an example of. Since you for some strange reason decided to mention day care, let me go ahead and point out that I have two advanced degrees, have had multiple courses in school law, and actually have run a preschool. So there's that. From a legal point of view, states mandate different regulations for day care, but it would be obviously be foolish of me to expect you to understand that.
We're talking about prior knowledge...not supervision of the players once they get there. Again, foolish on my part to expect you to grasp the difference.
So the issue is, should universities do criminal background checks...is that what you're saying? Maybe they should...but if it's not required, or even standard practice, no, Stoops can't be held liable for not conducting them.
Plus, you would then have to do a background check not just in every athlete but every scholarship student.
And no, it doesn't take that many brain cells to grasp that, your intelligent friend not withstanding.

Does not compute. And awfully convenient besides.
Pray tell what are your advanced degrees in, and where did you obtain them?
And school law. What does that mean exactly, Business Law 101 or something?
Now it is possible that you are saying you went to law school? Well supply the mumbo jumbo in that case. Gotta say though, running a preschool and law don't go together.
A more common combo is running a preschool, then Real Estate Agent. That might just be for chicks though.

Minnesota team ends boycott threat, will go to Holiday Bow
quote:
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The University of Minnesota football team will play in the Holiday Bowl, reversing a threat to boycott the game because of the suspension of 10 players accused of sexual assault.
The players made the announcement at a news conference Saturday after a group of seniors from the team met with the board of regents, university President Eric Kaler and athletic director Mark Coyle on Friday night.

Players have more power than we think. What happens when all final four teams have a boycott about getting paid?
It's coming!!
It's coming!!

You dont want students representing the orginizatiom simply becauase they gang banged a girl?
If it truly was consensual than it's not immoral, as a matter of fact it's kinda cool

It's part of college.
Sex drugs and alcohol.
You need to wake up.
athletes get all the cooter. guys like Amari Cooper get two or three girls at one time. So I have heard.
The bad part is these little whores consent until it gets out to the public.
