Can't afford that Miles contract. No wonder Chavis had to go.

Um, not really seeing what you're having trouble with.
Hasn't LSU's enrollment numbers stayed more or less stagnant the last few years? You understand now you illiterate poor?

Jindal is too worried about the gays to care about LSU.

Louisiana's higher education community is facing an 82 percent funding cut if no extra state money is found. The change would bring state funding for LSU from around $3,500 per undergraduate student to $660 per undergraduate student next year.

I believe every freshman class has been the largest freshman class in LSU history for several years in a row.
ETA: According to the link, this year is the 5th year in a row with an increase in Total Students. So I was wrong about freshman class being the largest, but the total amount of students has continually increased.

I'm thinking this may be a bluff by LSU brass to get Jindal and the legislature's attention.
It absolutely is.
First of all, only 11% (at most) of LSU's total budget comes from the State. And if only 1% of that 11% gets cut, it may mean some belt tightening, but not "bankruptcy." That is monumentally absurd....

I would be okay with Texas floating them a high interest loan. That's why were here, friends
But yes this absolutely playing chicken politically with a budget

Louisiana State University at Tulane is the only fix here.

I knew your point, it just reads as "Has not the school not" That's the part that gave me a headache.

Not so sure.
If Moody's did downgrade LSU credit, that will heavily impact interest rates for loans down the road.
