You're right, I expect him to be on his back quite a bit.

If 180 pounds is his max on bench then that's just horrible. You can go to the gym regularly for a year and be able to get 225 up.

You had top 3 LT with Joekle and Mathews and JFF still had to make plays with his legs.

Because JFF was so-so with reading coverage.

Manziel maxed 210....

I mean wait... oh no 180! we fricked! better just not take the field this year.

Kid is a high school STUD. #1 overall qb recruit in the nation...

Do you think his coaches made him try to max bench everyday in high schoool? That is why colleges have strength and conditioning coaches.

tRant is already worried about Kyle Allen and they havent even seen him throw a pass. This is glorious.

I'm excited, with our DL and his 4.9 40 I would expect a record day of sacks.

Those plays Johnny made "with his legs" were about instinct and maneuverability; not speed.

Ya when JFF outran CB's down the field that was all "instinct and maneuverability"

A&M fans were spoiled the last two years, that's for sure.

Last year he was only able to run b/c of his OL--any QB would've been able to do the same.
And at the combine he was "slow."
Now suddenly he's a trackster.
Sorry--it's tough to keep up.

If you haven't noticed, it's pretty well known here on the tRant now that JFF was actually the best player ever.

They move the goalpost based on the arguement they are trying to support. Its either "he obviously wasnt good if he never finished higher than 3rd in the SEC West" or "hes the greatest college football player ever, how can you possibly replace him"

Never seen anyone be so good and so bad at the same time..

Manziel was a measly 210. Kid can throw 65 yards in the air on a dime. Just think when he gets to workouts and that arm strength improves. He'll be able to throw the ball a quarter mile, over them mountains even.

He's actually not all that far from being a pre-teen.
