Florida and Georgia aren't down

- Kentucky almost lost to UTC
- Tennessee lost to Pitt
- Missouri has looked like garbage
- South Carolina is garbage
- Vanderbilt is rotting garbage

So.....?

The East is tougher than the West this year. Just deal with it.

It’s about the same as it always is. 1 to 2 great teams, then everyone else is mediocre or bad

SEC West doesn't look very good this year either quite honestly.

SECW has 5 teams in the top 25

SECE has two. It’s the usual 2 in Florida and UGA. The rest of the SECE is bad

I agree. They have Bama and Ole Miss -- not sure how Ole Miss does against Florida or UGA this year.

Is the West down?

One year doesn't mean they are "up" because kirby is still gonna do Kirby things.

You going to ignore the other Top 25 teams in the division.

EDIT: Didn't realize Auburn was still in Top 25. So 5 of the top 25 teams in the country are in one division.

obligatory its too early to tell...

But like others have said, UF and UGA are carrying the weight.. ALL the weight. Tennesse was the one potential saving grace and they are a dumpster fire.

Alabama Arky and OM look scary rn. Would love to see either beat Bama.

SEC East is still tougher than the ACC.

Rankings mean little. Clemson is still in the top 10.

The East will be perfectly fine when Texas and Oklahoma join the SEC. The Elephant will make sure of that..

In fairness, the west looks pretty darn good.

Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Arkansas

The west looks as good as it did a few years ago when it was dominating. The east is strong at the top (2), but hot garbage from there down. Kentucky MIGHT be okay...Missouri? Hard to tell.

The west is extremely strong, and the east is okay by other conferences standards.

Well, one thing Kirby did was play for a National Championship and that's more than 11 other SEC coaches has done while in the SEC. And one coach that won a National Championship ain't looking like the sharpest tool in the shed.
