I haven't read all of the back and forth nonsense in all of these canceled ballgame threads so don't know all of the details. However, from what I do know, the NCAA puts safety first. There are strict rules about stopping a game if lightning is within a certain range and mandatory stoppage is 30 minutes from the last close lightning strike. Not sure about the rain situation but from I saw, the weather was going to continue through the night. The game officials are in control of that.
I have never seen anyone make up or complete a suspended mid-week game; not with important conference series coming up. Too much stress on pitching staff. We played two against FIU this week but they are on their way to Southern Miss for a conference series. Highly unusual for us to schedule 2 midweek games.

Exactly...but cancelling a game is what you now expect from UForfeit when things aren't going in their favor.
