So I listened to T-Bob Hebert's rant from last night...

Granted, he was triggered by an Alabama fan calling into the show and talking shite about last year's game not being a "beat down," but Hebert's ensuing meltdown and rant was about as beta as you could get.

As if Alabama fans don't know what it's like to go from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs.
We lived through Shula and DuBose. I was in high school when Alabama was a mediocre shitshow, always losing to Auburn, and being told by fans of teams like USC and Texas that we were has-beens.
But he is right. It's either national championship or bust for us. But if he's being honest...it's that way for LSU fans, too. There isn't a single former player or die hard fan of the Tigers who doesn't believe LSU should be on the same level as Alabama. The fact that they're not at that level bugs them just as much as it bugs Alabama fans when we don't win the championship.
At least we're honest with ourselves about what we want. Hebert has to lie to himself to make himself feel better about the current state of the two programs.

Hell, you can go back to 1969 when Bryant almost left for the Dolphins after 3 shitty seasons. He reinvented himself for the next decade. Bama has seen some dark ages, including ‘staring down the barrel’ of an NCAA gun. He’s full of shite and doesn’t know his football history.
