No they wouldn’t. In the same timeframe Saban didn’t replace Hurts for Tua. The only difference is UGA wasn’t placed into the playoffs after not winning their conference.

Go look at Fromm’s stats from 2018, especially the Bama game. This is like saying Urban should’ve replaced Tebow with Cam in 09.

Hindsight is 20/20. Fromm was good in 2018. They were very close to beating Bama, and heading to the playoffs. It's highly likely that Kirby guaranteed him the starting spot, and when that wasn't honored, Fields bolted.

No it isn't and nobody from the Fields camp has ever said this.
No HC in their right mind "guarantees" a starting QB position at an established program.

Exactly. It's very hard to replace your QB when you're winning. And Fromm was much better than Hurts was at Bama.
