I wonder if it would be a rivalry if Saban had landed at Bama in 2000, left for the NFL, and came back to the SEC at LSU?

There's no doubt he plays a huge role in the feelings of many LSU fans towards Alabama.

Or how about the same scenario in the early 70s- with The Bear leaving Bama for the NFL, and ending up at Tennessee?

Me too. It's going to be a great game. I wonder what tickets to that one will be going for online? If things stay as they are, this will be a record crowd in TS, IMHO.

Questions like this are evidence of LSU not having a rival.

Just because your team sucks you don't have to change the subject.

so how exactly does a shitty auburn team beating the main competent to our remaining strength of schedule help alabama? we need LSU undefeated going into the bama game.

lol at bama fans worried about strength of schedule. Last year y'all had a weak arse schedule and lost to the only quality opponent yall played. Obviously, it doesnt matter if we win or lose.

Posts like this make me wish LSU did have a defined rival. I guess we can start picking fights with T&AM but in the end, they still suck and it wouldn't be any fun.

I'm from the state of Alabama and I, for one, am hoping that LSU rapes them American History X style.....

ETA: Corndogs, you have my sympathies in advance for the arse raping the refs are going to give you in JHS. I have a lingering suspicion that they're going in dry this year.

I don't pull for Auburn or Tennessee under any circumstances, unless it can directly benefit Alabama. Too much season left to say that's the case in this game.

This is my favorite out of conference game of the year. In the past it was always a very competitive game. Unfortunately this year and last year, not so much. I usually pull for AU but it will be like watching a gang rape. I hope Khiel Frazier doesn't forget his lube..Hopefully Trooper will have plenty of towels.

I mean...It would certainly help you in the West if Auburn were to pull the upset over our boys, yes?
I don't give a flying frick. I used to pull for these things, but at the level we have been operating at recently, I don't care.

What matters is if we show up, execute, minimize mistakes while exposing/taking advantage of the other team's mistakes. Should we take care of business, it doesn't matter.

And I have two large on LSU -18.5.
