They were 3 stars out of high school….which for a lot of these guys was 5 or 6 years ago. He cherry picked the best older experienced players from the portal.

When I was 18 my bench max was 225 and there were girls on our college hoops team that could squat more than me. When I was 25 I benched 315 16 times and was squatting over 500, no drugs. My point being, there’s a big difference between a 23-24 year old that’s been training for 5-6 years than an 18 year old.

Lots of people learned from Saban, no one has done what this guy has. Not even close.

I mean Indiana isn't exactly the norm, as evidenced by the reaction.

But you're entitled to your opinion.

Indiana has zero 5 star recruits and seven four-star recruits. Oregon has 6 five star recruits and 49 four-star recruits.

The very meaning of “production” versus “potential”.

I will take production every damn time.

ETA: Their Strength & Conditioning program appears elite as well.

What makes it elite?
Or are you talking about "strength and conditioning" aka steroids?

Cignetti is using Saban principles but he is also trailblazing his own philosophy.

He is dominating the portal looking for guys that have been around 4 years, that come cheap, and have more to offer. And he fills the roster with those players.

Agreed.

Folks who are crediting this to NIL or Cuban's money are selling Cignetti short. The evaluation there is damn near perfect.

They have won 3 post season games by bludgeoning Ohio State, Alabama, and Oregon.

Results make it elite.
