Uh, no. AK has to pay people to live there. HI, not so much.

It's not about that. The Kamehameha Schools for native Hawaiians has an endowment over $11 billion. There are perks for certain Hawaiians

When SEC Country last spoke with the Tagovailoa family, moving to the state of Alabama from Hawaii was going to be a likely option if Kapolei (Hawaii) High School offensive coordinator June Jones decided to leave his position.
The Tagovailoas wanted their younger son, Taulia, a 2019 quarterback who holds an Alabama offer, to continue to get coached by Jones, who was a former college and NFL coach. Jones decided to leave Kapolei after the season.
According to Hawaii Prep World, the family’s move to Alabama appears to be happening now. Jones told that site that the Tagovailoas will move closer to Tuscaloosa so they can watch Tua play at Alabama and get Taulia accustomed to living in the mainland and playing football in the South.
“I think he’s going to Alabama with his whole family to watch Tua. That’s what I’ve been told,” Jones said. “He’ll do great. It’ll be a great experience for him. A totally different culture, obviously. He’s going to Birmingham. I haven’t talked to (Tua’s and Taulia’s father) Galu and (mother) Diane, but they’re going up this year for sure.”
It’s not known which high school Taulia will attend just yet, but last time SEC Country spoke with the family, they were thinking of moving to the Mobile area because they have some family there.
If they do make the move official, this will help Alabama’s chances at landing Tua’s brother when he makes his college decision. He’s already told SEC Country he’d like to play for the Crimson Tide and wanted to commit to them when he received his offer.
“It would be a dream come true,” Taulia said in November. “I think I’d spend my brother’s last year at Alabama if he was to go to the draft, and we’d play on the same team. I could learn a lot from him. I think I’d have that advantage to step in and come after him.”
The family could not be reached for comment at time of publishing this story.

Have you ever been to Alabaster?
Alabaster is just like any other suburb in the Southeast. Have you seen the new Thompson H.S.? The campus is very impressive. Actually some of the neighborhoods around the school are nice, but some of the neighborhoods nearby are going through a...."transition".
What did Tagavailoa's dad do in Honolulu....was he an "ace" assistant manager at the local Popeyes?

There's really nothing to see here, and even if there was, you think Bama doesn't know how to make everything legit on paper? c'mon

LSU fans were speaking very highly of the kid and his family in December when their new HC offered him a scholarship causing their top committed QB to open his recruitment briefly until Tua called to tell Myles "i'm not going to LSU, but you should". Now he's officially a bammer so we've got to assume anything associated with him is shady.

Ben Simmons'parents were being paid for by IIRC 1 shoe company and I think three NBA teams. Jones assistant had personal connections to the family for a long time prior

Perhaps you should check out what his father does for a living before opening your mouth and looking foolish.

C'mon now, what are the odds that Rush of all people would have a secret child that the rest of the world doesn't know about?

Well, he could have a crush on the guy.

Earl Woods was the Talent Evaluator for Western States for Titelist when Tiger was growing up. That's how a kid can fly all over the country for junior golf on an army pension.
I'd say that was a good investment

I went to Hoover. Were you at Thompson when y'alls thug arse douche HC knew y'all had no chance in the game so he ordered y'alls thug arse players to start a brawl, and in the midst while Rush Propst was acting like an actual leader and good coach by attempting to break up the fight, y'alls thug arse douche HC attempted to attack Rush Propst? But Propst is a real man and knocked that bitch on his arse. I don't remember if y'all got y'alls arse beat worse in the brawl or on the scoreboard? Pretty sure we dismantled y'all that night.
Serious question: was your chest painted in the stands, or were you a male cheerleader on the sidelines that night? I am absolutely certain you weren't on the field as a player.

He may turn out to be good but really, how much competition was he really facing IN HAWAII? When I think football, I don't think, Hawaii.

Tua little brother is now playing at Thompson HS which isnt far from Tuscaloosa. The HS coach did a interview confirming the move today. I wonder how many Hawaiian familys could afford to quit their jobs and move the whole family to a rich little town in middle Alabama about a hour from Tuscaloosa? jus sayin
Since youre the expert, how much did the Tua's make in household income last year?

First of all, I was saying LSU fans were speaking highly of his character after your coach stepped on his junk and offered Tua resulting in Myles Brennan reopening his recruitment breifly. Tua and family called Myles directly to say Tua isn't going to LSU but Myles should. LSU fans talked of his class and character then, but now they assume his family was paid to move to Bama. It's just a little odd how quickly the tune has changed.
As it relates to the kid's ability on the field, no doubt Hawaii doesn't offer a ton of competition (or talent for Tua to play with likely), but he won the Elite 11 MVP, he went to several camps & the opening and was rated a 5 star and top overall DT QB, and he's already been at Bama through the spring and did not suck in the practices or the game. He'll be the backup, will play some this year, and has a chance to start in 2.

The family would have relocated if Tua went to LSU, Ole Miss, or Auburn.
From an article before he committed:

From an article before he committed:
quote:
However, the Tagovailoa family appears to be quite serious about the prospect of their son leaving Hawaii for the faraway SEC. Tua’s father and mother, Diane, told SEC Country that they’ve had conversations about potentially moving to, or at least near, whichever locale their son chooses. “We have talked about a lot of those things, even if he was staying on the West Coast,” Galu Tagovailoa said. “I have kind of looked at some jobs on the West Coast in my field. We also needed to consider that we needed to look at jobs in Mobile or in that area. That was one of the biggest reasons why we took this trip as a family. When it comes down to making a decision like this, it’s a family decision.”

If the Crimpson Turd isn't going to get investigated for T-town Men's Wear, T-Rent's House sitting, the disappearing hit-n-run car incident, Charger-gate, DJ Fluker, etc. then this damn sure isn't gonna get a sniff from anyone.
