This season proved that Yeskie wasn’t the problem at A&M, and his seasons there were the outliers compared to the rest of his career. And he still made a CWS appearance with them.

Aggie fans might have been glad to see him go at the time, but Schlossnagle sure wasn’t happy about it.

Don't worry. Sidewalk stands by his claim that it was a great hire for LSU

And Texas. And Vandy. And South Carolina. And Florida. You know…the schools that can actually win in the sport. I’d venture to say A&M fans care a lot.

I find it weird that some school’s fans are so content with being good at 1 sport. They almost wear it like a badge of honor. Any sport that wins is good for brand.

Per always, Aggy was the problem

No doubt LSU could hire Jimbo and become a perennial playoff team in today’s landscape

Hence the reason why "the fans were glad to see him go" is a terrible metric for a coaching hire.

I love meeting retards who can’t talk about more than one sport at a time

I believe most of the Aggie posters in your OP are good dudes. Their opinions are understandable because Schloss was the best coach on campus at the time and they trusted the direction he was taking the program.
Yeskie left because he preferred to work with Jay Johnson over Schlossnagle. It wasn’t until a year later they would find out that Yeskie was right.

What happened to Farmer1906? I think that dude has just thrown in the towel on Aggie athletics.

Still fun to see fans hate on a former coach when he's successful at your school.

Tell me more about this

It's an interesting concept as an Alabama fan.

I intended to only mean when the coach didn't have success at the former school. So, Saban at Bama doesn't really fit what I was referring to as far as the relation to LSU. However, you do have your own unique scenario that is on an entirely different level of jealousy or wonder of what could have been.

You obviously don't know much about Coach O. You were never going to have him on your staff, ever.
