I would only pull for an SEC team over Ohio State. But I would pull for any team over Ohio State, so it has nothing to do with supporting an SEC team.

Conference prestige gets schools within the conference better bowl opportunities, higher rankings, more tv contract money, a national recruiting edge just to name a few things.....oh yeah, being snobbish to fans of other teams/conferences.

I never have and never will see the direct benefit to the LSU football program and recruiting when BAMA or Auburn or Florida win a National Championship.
It has had to suck for you for years.

I didn't pull for AU in 2010 against Oregon and would not pull for them now either.

I'd pull for any SEC team except Auburn or UT.

I would root for anybody except Bama.

I would pull for none of them. frick the SEC streak, unless it's all Auburn. SEC loyalty is the dumbest thing ever.
You can thank the sec streak for any poll ranking you have held in the past 5 or so years. If not for the dominance of the sec, you would need to drop at least 3-5 spots off any rankings you, or just about any other sec team has held, with a few exceptions of some Alabama/LSU/Florida teams, but not even all of THEM.
Anyone that think the conference's dominance doesn't help them has no business posting on a sports message board because you have absolutely no idea how recruiting and poll rankings work.

Sigh...
I'd pull for any school in America besides georgia tech to beat the SEC in the title game this year.

I would pull for all of those in the NC except Bama.

I don't care about the streak unless LSU is playing, which ain't happening this year unless an even bigger miracle than '07 happens.
I will root for any SEC team against the following teams:
Ohio State
Notre Dame
USCw
Texas
Only one of those has a chance to play in the game this year, so I'm most likely rooting for Oregon/FSU to beat Bama if that's the matchup.

Since these two teams have already beaten Oregon, I would move them to the top of the list

Nope don't care about the streak at all. Definitely wouldn't pull for Bama and probably some others.

I hope your sports program, and most of the SECs lose everything they compete in from now until their athletic department are shut down.
