Have been a big SEC guy long before the BCS era but after the system failed my team in '11 why should I care. :stillbutthurt

BTW, the dominance won't end just b/c an SEC doesn't win this year.

Yes, would root for SEC teams.

And YES, yes I did root for Auburn in 2010. I can certainly understand not being able to root for a certain team or two, but you can’t deny that the SEC is all up in everyone’s jelly heads. A quick peruse of headlines since the beat down of ND last Jan:

So you were pulling for Auburn in 2010?

---------------------------------------------

I hated losing to Auburn in 2010, but once they made it to the NC Game I was pulling for them. If you're gonna lose, at least lose to the eventual Champion!

I happened to be in Vegas during the game and was surrounded by people pulling for Oregon, and decided to put $200 on Auburn to win. It felt strange cheering for them, but there's no way I'm cheering for someother team over one from my own state...Hell, half of my friends have attended Auburn...we just agree to disagree on that one day of the year in which we hate each other - the rest of the time we're friends.

Honestly, if it's BAMA, I'd absolutely root against us if I'm LSU, Auburn, UGA...

Alabama has pretty much blown the door open in the state of Georgia for recruiting, and dominates Alabama (except for Jameis Winston ), and gets players from in Texas, out west, etc...

The only state I have ever imagined out of sheer 'lock-down' dominance in recruiting was Louisiana players with LSU. With Cam Robinson and the rest of the crew donning their Bear Bryant hats and heading east... a blowout loss to LSU combined with another national championship could open the floodgates for Nick Saban.

I concede that of all the times I'd want to not just beat LSU, but embarrass them, would be this coming Saturday. Fournette and pretty much every top recruit in Louisiana is coming to that game.

In a perfect world, our offense pushes them all over the field, and Landon Collins has another pick six to put the game well out of reach. With Cam Robinson and the LA commits hanging with the undeclared, everyone decides to jump on the train instead of getting run over.

After the game, Nick Saban gives Leonard Fournette the Julio Jones speech: "We'd love to have you, but we'll win without you."

Honestly, a Bama win, plus a championship, plus a Leonard Fournette commit would spell certain doom for any chance LSU has while Saban is around.

Alabama certainly doesn't need LF, but the meltdown that would occur if he flipped to Alabama would be monumental. Especially after Collins and now Robinson (it appears).
